More and more of my clients are telling me they are depressed & don't want to get out of bed.

Here we are in the 6th month of the COVID19 pandemic and it, and all of the the other things that have been coming to the surface about our way of life in 2020 is impacting us

Whether you are struggling with the stay at home requests, feeling isolated and not being able to be around friends & family, lack of hugs and human connection, social distancing, the political craziness (I heard someone say today that we are all "political orphans" and that really hit home for me)! The racial protests after the years and years and years of social unrest surrounding systematic racism... Fear of losing our loved ones or ourselves to this virus, dealing with the tension of masks or no masks, people who are unable to go to work, kids unable to go to school, parents needing to work from home and homeschool their children at the same time even though they never dreamed of ever homeschooling their children. Financial struggles, no one seems to give a straight answer about what should be done, and the fear of the unknown... on and on and on.

More and more of my clients are telling me they are so depressed that they don't want to get out of bed in the morning, they feel stuck and lost. I always want to offer tapping as an emotional freedom option but when people feel so unmotivated to even tap, that's when I start to worry.

From my perspective tapping with so many people over the months I've learned that all of this turmoil that we are physically experiencing seems new but for each individual who I've tapped with it always seems to go directly back to something much deeper, even more personally painful, back to a time when they felt helpless, powerless and/or overwhelmed, very often from childhood. 

Back to an emotional wound way-back-when that it has been buried in their subconscious and never processed or healed and has been triggered again during this global trauma. Our bodies, however, are experiencing it as if it is happening right now. 

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or tapping can actually help our bodies calm down the fight, flight or freeze mechanism in our brain that's being triggered and release it, allowing us to be able to get though this much more calmly and emotionally free.
